Oni Studios and SuperJoy Studios invited big names in the Fortnite creator community to participate for a $10,000 prize in the Rocket Wars Creator Tournament. Top talent joined the event such as SypherPK, the creative force behind the map, and Clix, Fortnite pro and winner of the event. Creators took the opportunity to organically develop and share their own content, generating massive amounts of content and engagement from dedicated fans. The authentic and exciting format of the tournament helped drive organic engagement and became the catalyst for raising awareness of Rocket Wars. The event generated a staggering 6M impressions across streaming and social platforms.
The Creator Tournament not only met the challenge of promoting in the volatile UEFN space but also exceeded expectations by turning participants into enthusiastic ambassadors. The project led to 258,000 Rocket Wars players within 24 hours of the map launch.
